Homemade Play-dough

Have you ever wanted play-dough that was non-toxic (i.e.- my kid puts things in his mouth constantly) and doesn't dry out the moment you pop the lid on it? That was me, and I finally have a recipe that is both quick and easy with ingredients you probably already have sitting in your pantry!
Recipe:
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Salt
2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
1 cup Water
Food Coloring (Add to water before pouring water in)
1 teaspoon oil
Directions:
On the stove, mix dry ingredients in pan. Add water (with food coloring) and oil. Stir together. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until a large ball forms. Place flour on counter and then knead the play-dough. Store in container or ziploc bag after each use to keep fresh for months.
*You can double this recipe if you want a bigger batch.
*You can also add cinnamon in it for a more fragrant smelling play-dough.

This has become my son's favorite play-dough because he gets to help make it and it makes a lot more than one container of store bought play-dough. I like it because it is super easy to make and won't harm your child if they happen to ingest any of it while playing. It's also great to give as gifts or favors for parties accompanied with a cookie cutter!
I hope you and your littles enjoy my trouvaille <lucky find>! Try it out and share with me your own play-dough creations on social media and tag #trouvaillegaldiyplaydough !
